Top wedding gift ideas For 2019

This is a collaborative post.

Exciting: when your best friend gets engaged and is over the moon in love.

Less exciting: the pressure of finding the perfect gift for the couple.

As much as you love them, it can be a really hard task to choose the right thing for someone who means so much to you – but don’t worry, we’re here to help! It can feel overwhelming scanning the registry and watching everyone snatch up the toaster and the cheese grater, I know. Just remember that the gift you bring is much less important than the company your offer.

But if the world of presents has you stressed, here we’ve collected a few wedding gift ideas for the 2019 wedding season to get your thoughts flowing.

Kitchen Accessories

It can feel a little mainstream to stick to that registry list, but it’s important to remember that the couple will be starting off on a new foot and there are a lot of simple things they need for their home. There’s a reason why they put the things on the list – it’s things they will probably use! Buying a set of wooden spoons or some bowls might feel boring, but you can combine a kitchen gift with something a little more exciting. Or, you can add a joke or pun to the note with a kitchen utensil. For example, when you give them spice containers, write, “Here’s a little something to spice up your evenings.” This keeps the gift fun and practical at the same time.

This next option comes with a larger price tag, but the gift of precious stone jewelry will always be timeless and worthwhile. Pearls signify eternity with their effervescent shine and smooth exterior. A set of pearl earrings or a simple pearl necklace will remind the bride of her everlasting love for her partner, as well as the love of her family and friends. Of course the couple’s newest jewelry on their ring fingers will be the most important of the day, but pearl jewelry is a lovely accent to the glitter and shine of the wedding diamonds.

Personalized Decor/Wedding Keepsakes

This will be one of the most important days in this couple’s life together, and it is such a beautiful thing to have unique ways to treasure those memories. Classic, understated, simple decor, potentially featuring the couple’s last name initial, is versatile enough to fit with any design scheme. Personalized wine glasses, a his and hers mug set, or a family recipe cutting board can add that extra ounce of personality to the gift.

Several websites offer personalization services if you have an idea but aren’t sure how to make it your own. One of my very favorites is the star map that shows what the night sky looked like on the night the couple got married. Anything that shows the couple you took that extra minute and created something specifically with them in mind will make you a winner in the gift book.

Don’t overstress about the wedding gifts, but do show thoughtfulness when you decide. Keep the couple at the forefront in your mind and don’t be afraid to be creative!
